Waste of time money. I’m very handy with home repairs and projects. You have to feed the ducting into both of those white plastic end pieces. It’s almost impossible to feed and rotate the ducting into the end pieces so that it feels secure and won’t fall out. I spent over an hour working with it. Just as I finished and started pushing the dryer back in place, sure enough, the ducting fell out of the end piece. At least I caught it. I threw it away. Complete waste of money. The product should have come with the white plastic end pieces already attached and secured to the end of the ducting.

Please believe me. I am one who reads reviews and contemplates if the person is complaining or has a valid review of a product. I should have listened on this one.Upon receiving my order, I opened the box and it looked great. Just what I wanted! Perfect. I sat it aside until it was time to hook my dryer back up after doing a short remodel of my laundry room. My short remodel lasted a few weeks longer than I hoped.First mistake, I let my return window pass before trying to install this bad boy. I had no problems feeding the ends of the plastic ends to the duct. It was easy...after I realized the instructions were wrong. The instructions tell you go turn it one way, which I did. Tore up the end on the first try. nice thing there is an arrow on the plastic part that tells your the correct way to fasten the plastic end to the duct. Other end worked great after realizing the instructions were incorrect on the other end. However, as I went to attach it to my dryer and the wall vent, as instructed, things went horribly wrong. The duct started splitting and unraveling. That is when I discovered my first mistake - went I went to fill out a return on Amazon - it was too late...return window had passed...so now I am out $20. Yes, my fault.I would take photos, but I have to run to the store and buy another one. I need to do some laundry. Please take my advice. Do not buy this thing.

NOT FOR Dryer close to back wall! The big plastic ends stick out so far that if you have your dryer up against the back wall they will prervent you frp, moving it too close to the wall. I have limited space, my dryer is in a closet and this didn't work for me. It's great if you can move the dryer away from the wall about a foot or so.

After struggling for a few hours to connect semi-rigid flex vent to the back of a one piece laundry center, I ordered this. Arthritis in both hands makes it difficult to use only the rigid vent with worm drive clamps, especially in tight areas.I've used this previously in a different home, but wasn't able to find it locally.Within fifteen minutes of receiving the package, I had it put together and connected to the vent outlets. Simple assembly - follow the instructions in the packaging, and look for the raised directional arrows when installing the end pieces to the vent.

I feel safer having this connected to my dryer and the outside vent. I was not very comfortable with the other dryer vent I had on there. I installed it myself, and didn't have that much trouble. I am 73 years woman, so that means, anyone can do it!

I had no issue attaching the plastic pieces on the tube. The problem was it was the exact same size and would not fit. I called the company and was told to purchase a specific item at Ace Hardware. I went and bought exactly the item recommended. Which was the exact size of the plastic end. Horrible waste of time and money. I have ordered dozens of items from Amazon. I have never been this dissatisfied.

Wonderful in theory, disaster in application. I had someone coming to replace the tube and this thing looked like a fantastic idea. I thought, "What could be simpler and no tools!" It comes in three pieces, the two caps and an aluminum stretch tube. First end I FINALLY wedged on but it was not easy. The second one would not go on, no matter what. The handyman could not do it. neither could I. Luckily, I bought a more conventional dryer vent get up locally as a back upThis sure looked cool but in practice it did not work for me

Unfortunately, even after reading instructions (that indicated inserting "while turning Clockwise"), the aluminum duct will not completely go over the inner Ridges of the plastic adapter. Incidentally, the adapter has an embossed arrow that indicates "turning Counter-clockwise". In any event, while rotating the aluminum duct, it splits and is now unusable.

This is an impressive invention! I have always struggled with dryer vents. The hose clamps never create a nice seal, allowing lint and hot steamy air into the laundry room. No more! All thanks to a brilliantly designed plastic piece that forms a tight seal at the dryer and at the vent pipe. Easy to install with no tools. As a side benefit the dryer is much quieter --I can hardly tell it's running! nice bye to those crazy clamps that always fall off and goo riddance! This kit is the way to go!

I used it for a 3” bathroom exhaust vent. The extra plastic pieces help anchor down the vent to prevent sagging in the ceiling. Since it’s semi rigid, it was also super easy to get it attached at both ends.A nice surprise is a foam piece to create an air tight seal around the ends. I used foil tape over top but it didn’t seam necessary.I’ve done duct work on HVAC, dryers and exhaust vents. This was easy to use compared to a flex vent which flops everywhere, a rigid vent which needs some puzzle work, and even a normal semi rigid which has to fuss with clamps. The only potential negative is if you might have clearance issues behind a dryer. This would push it out away from the wall quite a bit.

I, like another user, have a dryer that sits close to the rear wall, and yes, this vent’s collars that affix to the dryer and vent outlet prevent me from pushing the dryer back further lest I crush the hose itself. In other words, this hose does what the company claims it’ll do and what it’s designed to do.When my plumber came over to check my dryer hook-ups (I converted my gas dryer to run on propane) and noticed I didn’t have clamps on my vent hose, I asked him to check that part of the setup too. His words: “Wow — that hose is on there nice and tight on both ends! Wouldn’t have thought that was possible!” (And I didn’t even have to use the included gasket.) The hose does what the company claims it’ll do and what it’s designed to do.The connectors must be attached to the hose by the user, and it was tricky for a bit until I realized the hose itself is threaded like a screw, and that with gentle hands, the connectors screw onto the hose at both ends smoothly and securely. No, it’s not going to be as secure as metal screwed into metal, but it isn’t flimsy either; I was able to shake and drop and shimmy the assembly quite a bit with no damage at all.So if you want a dryer vent hose that’s easy to use, a snap to install, has durability, does what it’s designed to do, doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and doesn’t require any extra parts, choose this item. And for the love of all things holy, don’t listen to these naysayers who complain about how this hose is difficult to use or breaks easily or isn’t worth it or is shorter than the advertised length or is a worthless bust — clearly they either didn’t read the user instructions, think foil hoses should be as sturdy as steel, lack the patience to handle items with necessary care, didn’t extend the hose to its full length (it expands rather like a slinky or the articulated neck of a “bendy straw”), or are simply too vexed that they broke the hose themselves and too egotistical to admit user error that they wrote scathing reviews to put blame on the hose and the company that makes it. Don’t believe the hype. This hose isn’t exactly a perfect solution for me, but it works, and it works pretty darned well...as long as you read and follow the directions and treat the product with proper care.
