We wanted something different from the everyday glass round plates and bowls! We have been looking around for awhile, but there isn't many options really.We really liked the coloring and patterns of these. We love the sturdiness and weight. We also wanted a dishwasher safe set. So far so nice, we have ran them through the washer a few times.My only complaint is that the large dinner plate is LARGE! Most meals are dwarfed by its massiveness!

I've been wanting a set of square plates and bowl, with no mugs, for a while. These are gorgeous and economical for a 16 piece set. I'll be buying a second set soon so fully replace all the dishes with these. Arrived firmly and safely packed, not a single piece was damaged in transit. Very happy with my purchase.

I received a set of these dishes for Christmas and loved them. The colors are nice and they're sturdy and heavy. I loved them so much I ordered a second set. The plates are perfect, but both the large and small bowls are slightly warped and not quite square. Some more than others. I'm keeping them anyway - but just be aware the bowls may not be actually square

Love the design and the product was packed REALLY well. Not one thing arrived broken! The ONLY reason I gave 3 stars to the weight is because the plate is more heavy duty which I prefer. They are VERY sturdy! Love this design and give high marks to the company that sells them!

I ordered 2 16 pc sets of ELM DOWNTOWN 16 on May 10 from Amazon. One set arrived Wednesday 5/13 and one set this morning 5/17. I LOVE THEM! I love square plates and bowls. I love the colors and that each piece is slightly unique. But one small square bowl was broken upon arrival. I emailed Customer Service and received a reply the very next morning.

So I've had mint colored circle plates for a few years now and for a while I've wanted square bowls and dinnerware.Came across this set, I find the red, white and black contrast very pretty. I'd say the plates have just the right amount of weight to them. I do wish the plates were a little deeper but the size difference is very nice.The bowls are great too, the big ones are the perfect size for any meal and the small ones are smaller than I was expecting but they are perfect for a small bowl of soup, ice cream, chips n dip, etc.This set did ship and arrive very fast and nothing was chipped or broken. So I was obviously surprised and very happy about that.One last note about the dinner plates is the red color does bleed into the white accents just a little bit. I can see how that would bother some people but I barely notice it.I will definitely be ordering another set soon and I'd certainly recommend this set to a friend.
